Calling In the Wanderer: An Caileach

Winter is upon us here in the North Country of New York State. A blanket of snowy diamonds has been laid upon the land, glistening on the trees. Although there air has been frigid, I enjoy the beauty around us. While the trees may be sleeping, and though I do love the Spring, I have a special place in my heart for winter. I feel it is a very magical time.

I made Caileach a cup of winter white tea with peppermint. She requested two spoonfuls of sugar, so I think she might have a sweet tooth. The tea tastes amazing. She allowed me to take a sip before I officially offered it to her. It’s delicious! So full of flavor! Anyway, I sat before my altar and spoke from my heart, with a theme of gratitude. I told her how much I love the snow flurries and the beautiful intricacy of snowflakes. That just blows my mind.

At the end of our talk I bowed, but she told me I don’t need to do that. I guess I’m learning as I go! Over all it was a good experience and I am glad I took the time to do it.

That rocks, girl! You are on your way. In my experience, the TdD don’t demand bows but do like respect. Good on ya!
