Celebration of the Evergreen (Flidais)

Greetings! I once again dropped the ball when I went to take a nap and did not wake up until 4:45am with make-up caked around my eyes. So, once again, I slept through a Yule holiday observance. I am not sure why I am even bothering with this anymore. I guess  a part of me doesn’t want to give up, though this may be a losing battle.

Flidais (pronounced flee-dish) is a Celtic Earth Goddess of the forest. And she is one that resonates very strongly with me! Unlike some of the other deities I’ve tried to celebrate with, she gives me the feeling of nurturing and loving energy that she gives into the Earth and all it’s inhabiting children, plants, minerals, animals, water, people…it is rather beautiful. I am going to see how she is honored so that I can finally do these observances right.

I plan on offering her a cup if Christmas Tree hot tea. It is a delightful blend of white tea with peppermint, and it is quite tasty. So that will be my offering, along with some incense. I will do some research on Evergreens too, as it is definitely the season for them!

About Siofra |Nathifa|

A Druid and a Kemetic Pagan. I have studied Celtic Traditions, European Shamanism, the Fairy Faith, Native American Traditions, Wicca, Witchcraft and have explored New Age beliefs. I guess you could say I'm eclectic, but right now my focus is on Druidry and Kemetic Traditions. I am by no means, an expert in any of these interests. I am also a Bard in training.
