Waiting For Him

I reached for his hand,

splendid fingers so beautifully sculpted,

and bring it to my heart,

as the fire within spirals outward,

a flame hot and internal,

could melt even the most icy of eyes.

But this is just a memory,

and I held his hand through the fire,

our gaze danced,

almond with doe.

Just a memory I savor

on cold wintry nights

when he cannot be home,

for home is when we touch,

love is born but flighted,

as service calls

I lace my fingers

and wait for him.

About Siofra |Nathifa|

A Druid and a Kemetic Pagan. I have studied Celtic Traditions, European Shamanism, the Fairy Faith, Native American Traditions, Wicca, Witchcraft and have explored New Age beliefs. I guess you could say I'm eclectic, but right now my focus is on Druidry and Kemetic Traditions. I am by no means, an expert in any of these interests. I am also a Bard in training.
